Solar Renewable Energy LLC installed EcoFoot5D 5-Degree Racking system on the flat-roof portion of this 1,080 solar panel project on Commonwealth Charter Academy's (CCA) roof . The total system is 389 kW, which will produce 500,000 kWh annually and provide one-third of the electricity consumption at CCA’s 180,000-square-foot Capital Campus. Savings are an estimated $60,000 a year.

Pennsylvania-based Solar Renewable Energy helped CCA get a $213,000 state grant toward the solar project. CCA will fully purchase and take ownership of the system after six years.

CCA serves more than 9,400 students in its public cyber charter school. The school is committed to improving sustainability and minimizing carbon footprint.
